I learned about this form of poetry last year in SOL. Write the digits of a phone number, and then write one phrase or sentence that has that number of words in it. Try it. It’s fun!
2 – Literacy Coach
6 – Walking alongside teachers and reflecting together.
2 – Powerful work!
3 – Working in classrooms
7 – That child is a puzzle. Need help?
6 – What tangles in understanding need untangled?
6 – Let’s try this; Let’s try that.
8 – That didn’t work? What else can we try?
6 – What’s that? A shift in learning?!?
2 – Let’s celebrate!

In glad you may give it a try. It is great as a “busy day” post.

That seems like a terrifically fun way to write a poem, and a great idea booster for those draining days when my brain is mush. I’m definitely going to try this one!

Have fun with it. This year, I feel so rushed with life that I am glad I can write a few short posts. Thanks for stopping by and for the comment.

This is such a fun form! I discovered it a bit earlier this month, and really enjoyed writing mine. I feel like I want to find some new phone numbers and write another one. Maybe my childhood phone number, which I still know by heart?

I would love to read your phone poem. Is it your SOL for today?

I did not have enough time today to write much at all! It was March 6. Here is the link, if you would like to read it: https://karpenglish.wordpress.com/2018/03/07/spring-ish-sunshine-and-a-phone-number-poem/.
